Beautiful Hallmarked Silver Metal  Dog Collar.  I would imagine this dates from the late 18th Century.
Engraved with 6 parallel lines. The spikes helped to protect the dog's neck from angry prey, or other dogs.
5" in diameter and roughly 1 1/4 - 1 1/2" wide.
There are a couple of dents to the metal, one at either side of the neck, but they do not detract from the beauty of the collar and could probably be improved upon if so desired.
